The first 500 radios for the Radios for the Sahel project left Hamilton this week. Volunteers packed, tested, and boxed every unit — each one fix-tuned to our partner's frequency and fitted with the solar panel that makes batteries irrelevant.
The partner's distribution plan is ready: local evangelists will place radios with listening groups across three districts, prioritizing villages with no church presence at all.
The project is now 64% funded. The remaining 1,000 radios ship as soon as the balance comes in — if you've been waiting for a project where your gift turns into something you can picture, this is it.
